How Does our Vehicle Transport Service Work?

From request to delivery, we manage every stage with precision, ensuring vehicle safety, punctuality, and traceability.

Process Description

Our automotive transport service is structured in precise phases, designed to ensure safety, efficiency, and traceability at every step.

Vehicle Pickup

The process begins with the pickup of vehicles at the loading point established with the corporate client (dealership, logistics center, or storage point). Each vehicle undergoes a preliminary inspection to document its condition before transport.

Loading the Car Carrier

After the preliminary inspection, the vehicles are loaded onto the car carrier. During this phase, we ensure that each vehicle is securely fastened to prevent any damage during transport. The car carriers used are equipped with the latest technologies to ensure stability and safety.

Safe Transport

During the journey, the vehicles are constantly monitored via satellite GPS, allowing clients to track their vehicle’s route in real-time. Additionally, all vehicles are covered by All Risk insurance, providing complete protection throughout the journey.

Vehicle Unloading

Upon arrival at the final destination, each vehicle is re-inspected by our team to ensure it is in the same condition as when it was picked up. This double-check ensures maximum transparency and reliability.

Delivery to the Client

Delivery occurs at the agreed times, at the unloading point designated by the dealership or contracting company. Punctuality and precision are fundamental elements of our service.

Thanks to this process, ETL ensures a highly professional, safe, and traceable vehicle transport, capable of meeting the needs of dealerships, corporate fleets, and automotive sector operators in Italy and Europe.

FAQ

How Do the Cars Travel?

All vehicles are transported on specialized trucks called car carriers, which can reach a length of 19 meters, extendable up to 21 meters, with a maximum transport height of 4.10 meters. Before loading, each vehicle is carefully inspected. The anchoring of vehicles on the car carrier is a critical process executed in two phases: initially, two pins are placed under the wheels to prevent horizontal movement. Subsequently, the vehicles are secured with special straps that firmly lock the wheels to the car carrier, preventing any damage during transport. Our drivers strictly adhere to European transport regulations, including rest and driving shifts, verifiable on the Italian Truckers Federation (FAI) website.

How Long Do Pickups and Deliveries Take?

The pickup and delivery of a vehicle typically occur within a period of 1-5 working days.

Why are the Dates Flexible?

Pickup and delivery dates are flexible because we aim to optimize our trips by including vehicles in already scheduled transports, especially for private clients. The scheduling of car carriers is planned weekly, and finding availability for the current week can be challenging. Additionally, please remember that the vehicles travel by road and may experience delays due to traffic, accidents, and other unforeseen factors.

If the Car is not Running, Can it Still be Transported?

Yes, it is possible to transport non-running vehicles. It is important to report all vehicle issues before departure so that we can equip the transport, for example, with a winch. We recommend taking photos of the vehicle before departure, ensuring it is clean. Do not leave personal or valuable items inside the vehicle unless previously agreed. Additionally, for weight reasons, it is preferable that the fuel tank is not full.
